Cashew Brittle Ingredients and Necessary Materials:

  • 1 1/2 cups salted cashew pieces
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of real butter
  • 1 tablespoon of light corn syrup
  • Candy Thermometer
  • Wax paper
  • Baking Pan

How to prepare:

This recipe makes one pound Cashew Brittle

  1. In a 2-quart saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Cook at low heat and stirring occasionally until candy thermometer reaches 290 degrees. This should take about 25 to 30 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat
  3. Then stir in cashews
  4. Spread to 1/4-inch thickness on waxed paper lined baking pan
  5. Let cool completely
  6. Then break into pieces
